Welcome to the Business Network International (BNI) Dunelm Chapter based in the Swallow Three Tuns Hotel, Durham. The chapter was launched in Nov 2005 and currently has 15 members.

Isn't it great when you get a call, from someone you maybe haven't even met before, who is interested in doing business with you simply because some one you do know has told them how good your product or service is? It's like your Birthday and Christmas have arrived on the same day. You’re as good as presented with the order, the hard work's been done for you.

The problem is these referrals usually happen by accident. You do some work for a customer or client, they tell someone they know who just happens to be looking for the service or product you provide and you get a call.

BNI provides you with your own expanded sales force, when other members meet someone who could use your product or service they give them your business card and recommend your services. For members to give referral business to other members they must feel confident that it will be handled in a professional manner and the work will be to a high standard, they won't want their reputation to be compromised.
